Responsibilities • Prepare civil engineering designs, plans, reports, and technical documents. • Support land development projects from planning and entitlement through construction. • Develop and review construction documents and project deliverables. • Respond to plan check comments and agency review comments. • Research and apply local agency standards, codes, and design requirements. • Support project schedules, budgets, and internal design deadlines. • Review plans and technical documents for quality, accuracy, and compliance. • Assist with construction administration support and RFI responses as needed. • Mentor and support junior designers and engineering staff. • Manage multiple design assignments while meeting deadlines and project objectives.
Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field preferred. •4+ years of civil engineering design and land development experience preferred. • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D required. • Knowledge of Southern California agency standards and permitting processes preferred. • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to coordinate with internal teams, clients, consultants, and public agencies. • Previous experience mentoring junior staff preferred. • California PE license preferred, but not required unless applicable to the final role level. • Experience with healthcare, higher education, civic, commercial, industrial, residential, or mixed-use developments is a plus.
